PC Board Layout Issues

A printed circuit board layout will be designed to implement the circuit described above. The basic mechanical features of the board will be as shown in Figure 3. The board outline is essentially contained within the ``footprint'' of an 8x3 array of MDTs. For the initial layout, the MPI-style endplug geometry will be assumed (since our electronics test chamber uses these).

Given the tight constraints placed on the board dimensions, the layout will be quite crowded. The board is anticipated to require a conformal HV coating for operation. Milled slots may be required to increase the effective clearance between components.
